VERB TO BE

The verb to be is a main verb in English, and it plays a major role in many types of constructions, as in all other European languages.

It has many uses and meanings, both as a main verb and as an auxiliary verb. It also behaves differently in negative sentences and questions.

The "verb to be" in the present tense consists of "pronouns + am, is, are", here are the examples:
