Ask a question in the present perfect

 

Questions in the present perfect, consisting of: has / have + subject + past participle.

Examples:

  • Question: Have + you + done + the shopping?
  • Answer: Yes or No + I + have or have not.
  • Question: Has + Hoda + played + basketball?
  • Answer: Yes or No + she + has or has not.
  • Question: Have + they + been + to Canada?
  • Answer: Yes or No + they + have or have not.

Present perfect questions - Wh Questions

 

Questions with Questions tools in the present perfect, consisting of: Question word + has / have + subject + past participle.

Examples:

  • Question: How often + Have + you + tried + to download the file?
  • Answer: I have tried to download the file three times.
  • Question:  How long + Have + they + lived + in Cairo?
  • Answer: They have lived in Cairo since 2009.
  • Question: Where + has + he + been?
  • Answer: He has been at home.
