اللغة غير الرسمية هي أكثر تلقائية وعفوية. يتم استخدامه عند التواصل مع الأصدقاء أو العائلة سواء في الكتابة أو في المحادثة. يتم استخدامه عند كتابة رسائل البريد الإلكتروني الشخصية والرسائل النصية وفي بعض المراسلات التجارية. لهجة اللغة غير الرسمية شخصية أكثر من اللغة الرسمية.
