HODA: Fine, thanks — and you?
وائل: مرحبا، هدى! كيف تجري الامور؟
هدى: بخير، أشكرك و انت؟
WAEL: Just fine. Where are you off to?
HODA: To the library. I've got a history exam next week and need to start studying. Ugh.
وائل: بخير. أين أنت خارج؟
هدى: الي المكتبة. لقد لدى امتحان تاريخ الأسبوع القادم وأحتاج إلى البدء في الدراسة. قرف (هتاف يفيد معنى الأشمئزاز).
WAEL: Oh, no. Well, I’ll see you later then. Good luck!
HODA: Thanks. See you late.
وائل: أوه، لا. حسنًا، سوف أراك لاحقًا. حظا طيبا !

ADEL: Good morning, Professor Ahmed, how are you doing?
PROFESSOR AHMED: Good morning, Adel. I am doing well. And you?
عادل: صباح الخير، يا بروفيسور أحمد، كيف حالك؟
بروفيسور أحمد: صباح الخير، يا عادل. أنا على ما يرام. وأنت ؟
ADEL: I'm great, thank you. This is my friend Heba. She is thinking about applying to this college. She has a few questions. Would you mind telling us about the process, please?
PROFESSOR AHMED: Hello, Heba! It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm more than happy to speak with you. Please stop by my office next week.
عادل: أنا بحال ممتاز، شكرا لك، هذا صديقتي هبة. إنها تفكر في التقدم إلى هذه الكلية. لديها بعض الأسئلة. هل تمانع في إخبارنا عن العملية، من فضلك؟
بروفيسور أحمد: مرحبا، هبة! من دواعي سروري مقابلتك. أنا أكثر من سعيد بالتحدث معك. يرجى الدخول الى مكتبي الأسبوع المقبل.

Mr. Ahmed: Hello, this is Ahmed speaking. How may I be of help?
السيده منى: رنين رنين ... رنين رنين... رنين رنين...
السيد احمد: مرحباً، معك أحمد. كيف يمكن أن أكون عونا؟
Ms. Mona: Yes, this is Ms. Mona calling. May I speak to Mr. Fathi, please?
Mr. Ahmed: Mr. Fathi is out of the office at the moment. Would you like me to take a message?
السيده منى: نعم، السيده منى تتحدث. هل يمكنني التحدث إلى السيد فتحي، من فضلك؟
السيد احمد: السيد فتحي خارج المكتب في الوقت الحالي. هل تريد مني أن اكتب رساله له؟
Ms. Mona: Uhm...actually, this call is rather urgent. We spoke yesterday about a delivery problem that Mr. Fathi mentioned. Did he leave any information with you?
Mr. Ahmed: As a matter of fact, he did. He said that a representative from your company might be calling. He also asked me to ask you a few questions.
السيده منى: أممم ... في الواقع، هذه الدعوة ملحة إلى حد ما. تحدثنا أمس عن مشكلة التسليم التي ذكرها السيد فتحي. هل ترك أي معلومات معك؟
السيد احمد: فى واقع الأمر، لقد فعل. قال إن أحد ممثلي شركتك قد يتصل. كما طلب مني أن أطرح عليك بعض الأسئلة ؟
Ms. Mona: Great, I'd love to see this problem resolved as quickly as possible.
Mr. Ahmed: Well, we still haven't received the shipment of clothes that was supposed to arrive last Tuesday.
السيده منى: رائع، أحب أن أرى هذه المشكلة تحل في أسرع وقت ممكن.
السيد احمد: حسنًا، لم نستلم بعد شحنة الملابس التي كان من المفترض أن تصل يوم الثلاثاء الماضي.
Ms. Mona: Yes, I'm terribly sorry about that. In the meantime, I've spoken with our delivery department and they assured me that the clothes will be delivered by tomorrow morning.
Mr. Ahmed: Excellent, I'm sure Mr. Fathi will be pleased to hear that.
السيده منى: نعم، أنا آسف بشدة لذلك. في هذه الاثناء، تحدثت مع قسم التوصيل لدينا وأكدوا لي أنه سيتم تسليم الملابس بحلول صباح الغد.

Ms. Mona: Yes, the shipment was delayed from France. We weren't able to send along your shipment until this morning.
Mr. Ahmed: I see. Mr. Fathi also wanted to schedule a meeting with you later this week.

Mr. Ahmed: I'm afraid he's meeting with some clients out of town. How about Thursday morning?

Mr. Ahmed: No, it looks like he's free then.
السيده منى: لسوء الحظ، أرى شخصًا آخر صباح الخميس. هل يفعل أي شيء صباح يوم الجمعة؟
السيد احمد: لا، يبدو أنه متفرغ آنذاك.
Ms. Mona: Great, should I come by at 9?
Mr. Ahmed: Well, he usually holds a staff meeting at 9. It only lasts a half an hour or so. How about 10?
السيده منى: عظيم، هل يجب أن آتي في التاسعة؟
السيد احمد: حسنًا، إنه عادة ما يعقد اجتماعًا للموظفين في الساعة 9. يستمر لمدة نصف ساعة أو نحو ذلك. ماذا عن 10؟
Ms. Mona: Yes, 10 would be great.

AHMED: I don't like working with Bill, he's always reinventing the wheel, because he doesn't see the big picture. if we keep working like this, we will never the drop-dead date, maybe I should ask someone in the chain of command if I can get him replaced. I know I'd have to go through a lot of red tape to make it happen, but I think it would be worth it.
احمد: لا احب ان اعمل مع بيل، هو دائما يعيد ويزيد فى لا شي، لانه لا يري الصوره كاملة. اذا استمرينا فى العمل هكذا، لن يكمل العمل في ميعاده، ربما يجب ان اسال احد فى السلسلة الادارية، لياتي احدا بديلا عنه. انا اعلم اننى ساخوض بروتين صعب ليحدث هذا، ولكن اعتقد بأن هذا يستحق.
HEBA: Don't be a whistle-blower! To the higher-ups you are the low man on the totem pole. If you go to them, you could lose the whole ball of wax. Do you wanna cause a situation?
هبه: لا تكون فتانا! بالنسبة للاداره العليا انت لديك صلاحيات ضعيفة جدا. لو ذهبت إليهم من الممكن ان تُفتح لك مشاكل. هل تريد ان تسبب فى مشكلة؟
AHMED: No you're right, it could open a whole new can of worms; I'll just interface with Bill and try to find a solution.
احمد: لا معكي حق، من الممكن ان اضع نفسي في مواضيع كثيره. انا فقط سئقابل بيل وجها لوجه وساحاول ان اجد حل.

AHMED: This is a huge library.
HANI: Yes, it has lots of rooms and lots of space.
احمد: هذه مكتبة ضخمة.
هانى: نعم، يوجد به الكثير من الغرف والكثير من المساحات.
AHMED: And lots of books.
HANI: And lots of thieves.
احمد: والكثير من الكتب.
هانى: والكثير من اللصوص.
AHMED: What do you mean?
HANI: I mean, keep your belongings close to you.
احمد: ماذا تقصد؟
هانى: أقصد حافظ على متعلقاتك قريبة منك.
AHMED: The only thing in my backpack is used books.
HANI: But thieves don't know that.
احمد: الشيء الوحيد في حقيبتي هي الكتب المستخدمة.
هانى: لكن اللصوص لا يعرفون ذلك.
AHMED: They might think that I've got an iPod or laptop in there.
HANI: Now you're thinking.
احمد: قد يعتقدون أن لدي جهاز iPod أو كمبيوتر محمول هناك.
هانى: أنت تفكر الآن.
AHMED: You'd think a library would be safe from thieves.
HANI: Not even a church is safe from thieves.

AHMED: Do you go to college?
HANI: Yes, I do.

AHMED: Do you like it?
HANI: Oh, yes, I really like it.
احمد: هل تعجبك؟
هانى: أوه، نعم، أنا حقا أحب ذلك.
AHMED: Why do you like it?
HANI: Because it has great teachers.

HANI: I like all my classmates, too.
