Here are the letters with numbers in the English with meaning: 

 

1. K

Often the character "K" is used to refer to a thousand, So, 1k = 1,000. If you see a job advertised that offers a salary of 12K, that's $12,000.

 

2. M

The letter "M" is often used to denote a million, So, 1m = 1,000,000. If you see a job advertised and offers a salary of 12m, apply for it!

 
 

3. bn

The letters "BN" stand for billion, So, 1bn = 1,000,000,000. If you see a job advertised that offers a salary of £12bn, it's probably a typo.


4. myriad

They are used to refer to a myriad or many specific things. for example:

  • Earth hosts a myriad of animals.
