أعزائي gerund هو لفظي ينتهي بـ ing ويعمل كاسم - noun. يشير المصطلح لفظي إلى أن gerund، مثل النوعين الآخرين من الألفاظ، يقوم على فعل وبالتالي يعبر عن فعل أو حالة من الوجود.
ومع ذلك، نظراً لأن gerund يعمل كاسم، فإنه يحتل بعض المواضع في الجملة التي عادةً ما يكون الاسم. كما يستخدم صيغة الفعل مع حروف الجر.
الـــ Gerund هو صيغة الفعل يضاف فى آخره ING ويتكون من صيغة الفعل + ING، امثلة:
