تُستخدم كلمات مثل turn، become، get، go لوصف التغييرات والتحولات - لكن العديد من المتعلمين يخلطون بينها. اقرأ هذا الدرس لتتعلم الفرق!
الفرق بين "become, get, go, turn"
الاختلافات بينهما معقدة - فهي تعتمد جزئيًا على القواعد وجزئيًا على المعنى وجزئيًا على الاستخدام الثابت.
إستخدام turn
1. تستخدم فى الألوان:
Bananas turn black if you put them in the refrigerator.
يتحول لون الموز إلى اللون الأسود إذا وضعته في الثلاجة.
The sky turned pink and orange during the sunset.
تحولت السماء إلى اللون الوردي والبرتقالي أثناء غروب الشمس.
2. تستخدم turn to عند الحديث عن تحول كامل:
The caterpillar turned into a butterfly.
تحولت اليرقة إلى فراشة.
My dream turned into a nightmare.
حلمي تحول إلى كابوس.
إستخدام Get
1. في اللغة الإنجليزية غير الرسمية، تستخدم مع العواطف:
I got angry when my colleague said things about me that weren't true.
لقد غضبت عندما قال زميلي أشياء عني لم تكن صحيحة.
My son's getting excited about his birthday party next week. He'll be 5.
ابني متحمس لحفل عيد ميلاده الأسبوع المقبل. سيكون في الخامسة من عمره.
2. يمكنك أيضًا استخدام get مع الصفات المقارنة (comparative adjectives):
It's gotten more expensive to buy an apartment in this city.
أصبح شراء شقة في هذه المدينة أكثر تكلفة.
It's getting easier and easier for me to understand movies in English!
أصبح فهم الأفلام باللغة الإنجليزية أسهل وأسهل بالنسبة لي!
إستخدام Become
1. يمكن استخدام Become مع العواطف وصفات المقارنة (comparative adjectives) في اللغة الإنجليزية الأكثر رسمية:
My sister became depressed after she moved to a new city.
أصيبت أختي بالاكتئاب بعد انتقالها إلى مدينة جديدة.
It's becoming more difficult to balance work and life in the modern world.
أصبح من الصعب تحقيق التوازن بين العمل والحياة في العالم الحديث.
2. تستخدم دائمًا مع المهن (لا تستخدم Get كبديلة):
My son is studying really hard. He wants to become a lawyer someday.
ابني يدرس بجد. يريد أن يصبح محامياً يوماً ما.
Aya became a famous actress when she was just four years old.
أصبحت آية ممثلة مشهورة عندما كان عمرها أربع سنوات فقط.
3. تستخدم Get مع "used to" وليس Become:
I've gotten used to taking cold showers.
لقد تعودت على الاستحمام البارد.
We never got used to driving on the opposite side of the road while we lived in England.
لم نعتاد على القيادة على الجانب الآخر من الطريق بينما كنا نعيش في إنجلترا.
4. تستخدم become أو get مع accustomed to (تصبح أكثر رسمية، أكثر شيوعًا في اللغة الإنجليزية المكتوبة). ربما يكون الأمر أكثر شيوعًا.
It took years for him to become accustomed to life in another country.
استغرق الأمر سنوات حتى يعتاد على الحياة في بلد آخر.
When I started my new job, I had to get accustomed to waking up early.
عندما بدأت وظيفتي الجديدة، كان علي التعود على الاستيقاظ مبكرًا.
إستخدام Go
1- تستخدم Go مع هذه الكلمات المحددة:
go crazy
تنرفز / أصبح عصبي
go blind
أصبح أعمى
go bald
